Horse gram Dosa

Ingredients

  • 1 cup horse gram
  • 1 cup idli rice
  • 1/4 cup urad dal
  • 3/4 tbsp fenugreek seeds
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Ghee/oil

Method

Rinse 1 cup horse gram and 1/4 cup urad dal. Add 3/4 tbsp fenugreek seeds to it and let it soak for 3 hours.

Rinse and soak 1 cup idli rice in a separate bowl for 3 hours.

Grind it to fine paste adding water as required. The consistency is same as the normal dosa batter.

Add salt to taste.

Let it ferment for 8 hours in a warm place.

Mix it well and add water, if required to adjust the consistency.

a tawa. Brush it with water once hot. Pour a spoonful of batter and spread thinly.

When it starts leaving the pan, add ghee/oil.

Flip and remove from the pan once crispy.

Serve hot.
