Potato fry/Aloo sabzi

Ingredients

  1. Potato(Medium sized diced): 5 No.
  2. Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
  3. Mustard seeds: 1 teaspoon
  4. Kashmiri chilly powder: 1 1/2 teaspoons
  5. Turmeric powder: 1/3 teaspoons
  6. Coriander leaves(chopped): handful
  7. Lemon juice: 1/2 of a lemon
  8. Salt: to taste
  9. Oil: 1 tablespoon

Preparation

1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until almost cooked. Alternatively you can use pressure cooker.

2. Heat a pan, add 1 tablespoon of oil. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds,

3. When the seeds starts spluttering, reduce the heat to medium. Add 1/3 teaspoons of turmeric powder and 1 1/2 teaspoon of red chilly powder. Stir it.

4. Add the cooled down potatoes.

5. Keep on stirring until the potatoes are well coated with the spices.

6. Cook for 5 more minutes. Season with salt.

7. Sprinkle juice of 1/2 lemon and top with some coriander leaves.
