Ingredients
- 1 cup mango puree
- 3/4 cup condensed milk
- 1 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 eggs, yolk & white seperated
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla/mango essence
Method
Take 2 egg whites in a bowl, and beat for 2 minutes or until foamy. Keep aside.
In a large bowl, add 2 egg yolks, 1/3 cup melted butter, 1/3 cup granulated sugar and 3/4 cup condensed milk. Mix well using an electric beater or fork.
Add 1 cup mango puree and 1 tsp vanilla essence. Mix until well combined.
Sift and add 1 1/2 cups of plain flour, 11/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp baking soda to the wet ingredients. Mix well.
Add the egg white and fold it into the batter.
Transfer to a lined and greased cake tin. Level with a spatula and tap 3 times.
Cover with an aluminium foil.
Steam for 50-60 minutes or until the skewer inserted comes out clean.
Allow to cool down. Slice and enjoy.
