{"id":496,"date":"2020-08-02T01:30:52","date_gmt":"2020-08-02T00:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foodtocherish.wordpress.com\/?p=496"},"modified":"2021-12-20T21:18:48","modified_gmt":"2021-12-20T21:18:48","slug":"chicken-fried-rice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foodtocherish.com\/?p=496","title":{"rendered":"Chicken Fried Rice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For cooking rice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1 cup Basmati rice<\/li><li>Salt to taste<\/li><li>1 tbsp vegetable oil<\/li><li>Water<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For frying Chicken<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>400g boneless chicken diced<\/li><li>2 tbsp vegetable oil<\/li><li>1 tsp of black pepper powder<\/li><li>1 tbsp soya sauce<\/li><li>1 tsp kashmiri chilli\/paprika powder<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For fried rice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped<\/li><li>2 tbsp spring onion white, chopped<\/li><li>1\/4 cup celery, chopped<\/li><li>1\/3 cup carrot(1 medium sized), chopped<\/li><li>1\/4 cup cabbage, chopped<\/li><li>1\/4 cup beans, chopped<\/li><li>1\/4 capsicum, chopped<\/li><li>1\/4 cup spring onion greens, chopped<\/li><li>1 tsp white\/black pepper powder<\/li><li>1 tbsp vinegar<\/li><li>1 tbsp soya sauce<\/li><li>2 tbsp vegetable oil<\/li><li>salt to taste<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Cook 1 cup of basmati rice as per the instruction in the package. Add salt and oil while cooking rice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drain the rice and allow it to cool down completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/08\/img_20200728_092356.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-513\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Heat 2  tbsp of oil in a pan. Add chicken, 1 tsp kashmiri chilly \/paprika powder, 1 tsp pepper powder, 1 tbsp of soya sauce and salt to taste. Mix well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cook until the chicken is cooked completely and is slightly golden. Remove from heat and keep aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/08\/img_20200802_012456.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-515\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In a large pan, heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add the chopped garlic and spring onion whites. Saute for a minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/08\/img-20200730-wa0069.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-514\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Add 1 chopped carrot, 1\/4 cup chopped celery and 1\/4 cup chopped beans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saute until vegetables turns crisp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add 1\/4 cup cabbage, 1\/4 capsicum and 1\/4 cup spring onion greens. Saute for 5 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/08\/img_20200729_105153.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-517\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Add 1 tbsp of vinegar, 1 tbsp soya sauce , 1 tsp pepper powder and salt to taste. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add the fried chicken and the rice. Mix gently using a fork to avoid the breakage of rice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/08\/img-20200730-wa0067.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-512\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Stir fry for 5-10 minutes.
