Add salt. Allow it to boil for 6-8 mins. Remove from heat and strain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/161550268871928229.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-956\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour cold water into it. Squeeze out the excess water using a slotted spoon or hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/161550267152528129.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-957\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Allow to cool down. Crush the soya chunks roughly using a food processor (do not grind finely). Keep aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/1615502656590.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-958\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Heat 2 tbsps of oil in a pan. Add 2 chopped onion and 1 chopped green chilli and salt to taste. Saute until translucent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add 1\/3 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder and 1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder. Saute for a minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add 3\/4 cup shredded coconut(you can use either fresh or the desiccated one. In this recipe, I used desiccated coconut). Mix well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/img_20210311_224359.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-959\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Add the crushed soya chunks. Add 1 tsp garam masala and 1 tbsp vinegar. Add salt if required. Mix well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/1615502621731.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-960\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Fry until the soya chunks start turning brown. It will take 20-25 mins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remove from heat and serve with roti or rice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\"
