{"id":1317,"date":"2021-12-20T13:57:17","date_gmt":"2021-12-20T13:57:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foodtocherish.com\/?p=1317"},"modified":"2021-12-20T19:28:53","modified_gmt":"2021-12-20T19:28:53","slug":"beef-cutlet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foodtocherish.com\/?p=1317","title":{"rendered":"Beef Cutlet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ingredients\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>500g beef, minced\/chopped<\/li><li>2 large potatoes<\/li><li>2 medium onions<\/li><li>1 1\/2 tsp garam masala<\/li><li>1 tbsp lemon juice<\/li><li>2 tsp black pepper powder<\/li><li>2 inch piece ginger, finely chopped<\/li><li>3 green chilly<\/li><li>2 sprigs of curry leaves (optional)<\/li><li>2 eggs<\/li><li>Breadcrumbs<\/li><li>Salt to taste<\/li><li>4 tbsp oil + oil for frying<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"method\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Peel and cut the potatoes into 2 or 3 pieces. Place the potatoes in a pressure cooker. Add little water and salt to taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Pressure cook until 2 whistles. Allow it to cool down. Mash the potatoes using a fork or a potato masher. Keep it aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/08\/img_20200806_162842.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-555\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Add beef to a pressure cooker. Add 1 tsp pepper powder and salt to taste. Pressure cook until it is thoroughly cooked. Once it is cooled down, chop the beef using a food processor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan. Add 2 finely chopped onion, ginger and curry leaves. Saute until translucent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/08\/img_20200817_172252.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-560\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Add beef, mashed potatoes 1 1\/2 tsp garam masala and 1 tsp pepper powder. Mix well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Add 1 tbsp of lemon juice and mix well. Remove from heat and allow it to cool down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/08\/img_20200817_171929.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-557\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>7. Roll the cutlet mix into small oval shape or any other desired shape using palm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/08\/img_20200817_171954.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-563\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>8. In a bowl, crack open 2 eggs. Give it a good mix. Keep it aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9. In a plate or a bowl, add breadcrumbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10. Dip each cutlet in the beaten egg and then roll in bread crumbs. Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot enough, add in the cutlets and fry until golden brown.
