{"id":1309,"date":"2021-12-20T13:33:50","date_gmt":"2021-12-20T13:33:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foodtocherish.com\/?p=1309"},"modified":"2021-12-20T19:34:42","modified_gmt":"2021-12-20T19:34:42","slug":"paneer-paratha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foodtocherish.com\/?p=1309","title":{"rendered":"Paneer Paratha"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ingredients\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For paratha dough<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>2 cups of wholewheat flour<\/li><li>2 tbsp of oil<\/li><li>Water as required for kneading<\/li><li>Salt to taste<\/li><li>Wheat flour for dusting parathas<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For stuffing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>250g grated\/crumbled Paneer\/cottage cheese <\/li><li>1 medium sized onion chopped<\/li><li>1\/2 tsp ginger paste<\/li><li>1\/2 tsp garlic paste<\/li><li>1\/2 tsp garam masala<\/li><li>1\/2 tsp kashmiri chilli\/paprika powder<\/li><li>1\/2 tsp aamchur\/dry mango powder<\/li><li>2 green chilly finely chopped<\/li><li>1\/4 cup chopped coriander leaves<\/li><li>Salt to taste<\/li><li>2 tbsp of vegetable\/sunflower oil<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"method\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For kneading paratha dough<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. In a large bowl, take 2 cups of wholewheat flour. Add salt and oil. Mix well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/07\/img_20200727_174612.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-491\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Add water and knead well until smooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Rest for 20 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/\/storage\/emulated\/0\/DCIM\/Camera\/IMG_20200727_175142.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-171\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preparing paneer stuffing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Heat a pan. Add 2 tbsp of oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Add 1\/2 tsp of ginger paste 1\/2 tsp of garlic paste and 2 chopped green chillies. Add the chopped onion. Saute for 5 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/07\/wp-1595802993152.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-474\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Reduce the heat. Add 1\/2 tsp of kashmiri chilli powder, 1\/2 tsp of garam masala and 1\/2 tsp of aamchur powder. Mix well. Saute for a minute. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Add salt, grated\/crumbled paneer and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/07\/img_20200724_181744.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-475\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Remove from heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assembling &amp; Roasting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Divide the dough into medium sized balls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Take one ball and roll it as we do for chapathi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/07\/img_20200724_182428.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-479\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Place the stuffing in the center(2-3 tbsp).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/07\/img_20200724_182521.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Start pleating and pinch to seal the edges. Gently press the ball. Heat a pan. Once it is hot, place the rolled paratha. Cook the side for 1-2 minutes. Flip over. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8. Cook the other side for 1-2 minutes. Gently press the paratha with a spatula. Repeat the same with the remaining dough. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adjust the spice level as per your taste. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can make 6-7 parathas with the above
