You can have it as a snack, energy bar, breakfast bar or even as a dessert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/10\/1633188981624.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1212\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ingredients\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>250g (2 1\/2 cups) rolled oats<\/li><li>90g (1\/3 cup) golden syrup<\/li><li>90g (1\/2 cup + 1\/4 cup)brown sugar<\/li><li>125g unsalted butter<\/li><li>1\/2 cup dried fruits &amp; nuts(mixed)<\/li><li>1\/4 tsp salt<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"blob:https:\/\/foodtocherish.com\/07d97434-4c0c-4952-8892-421a1fd5eaa3\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foodtocherish.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/10\/img_20211002_164920.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1216\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"method\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Dry roast rolled oats for 5 mins or until we get a nice aroma. ( I use 1 cup of jumbo oats and 1 1\/2 cups of broken oats.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Transfer to a large bowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Add 1\/2 cup chopped mixed nuts and fruits to the bowl. Give it a mix. (I used dried cranberries, cashews and pistachios)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Take 125g unsalted butter, 90g brown sugar and 90g golden syrup  and pinch of salt in a saucepan. In medium heat, cook until the sugar melts. Do not over boil as it will make the flapjack hard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Remove from heat. Pour on top of the oats. Mix until the oats is well coated with butter-sugar mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 6. Transfer to a lined and generously greased square\/rectangular tin. Press the mixture into the corners. Press with the back of a spoon so that it is packed tightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. Bake in the oven at 180\u00b0C for 30-35 mins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8. Allow to cool down completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.
